Engineering Supervisor

Lakeland Power is seeking an Engineering Supervisor who will play a key leadership role in managing the Engineering team, GIS systems, and asset management programs. This role is an excellent opportunity for experienced Engineering Technicians who are ready to transition into a leadership position. This position oversees distribution system design, asset management standards, SCADA systems, GIS, Joint Use Agreements, and capital planning.

Engineering Technologist

Reporting to the Assets & Engineering Supervisor, this role is tasked with the design and development of the distribution
infrastructure, encompassing all related projects and connections. Additionally, the role provides technical information and
services to utility customers or their representatives. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing cost estimates, drafting
project specifications, evaluating transformers, conducting site inspections, testing equipment, and utilizing computer-aided
drafting tools.

Marketing Student Co-Op (Summer 2026)

Technical Support Center (TSC) Student Co-Op (Summer 2026)

Lakeland Networks is looking for a self-motivated, energetic, and responsible student to assist with technical duties and projects related to our fibre-optic Internet network. Reporting to the Director of Information Security and Technology, the Co-op Student will be involved in entry-level projects, focusing on core networks supporting Fibre Optic Internet, Voice, and Video. The successful incumbent will work with a team operating and maintaining our fibre-optic network equipment, carrier voice platform, and IPTV services for a 4-month placement during the Summer of 2026 (May – August).

Powerline Technician Student Co-Op (Summer 2026)

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, we are seeking current students in a Powerline Technician college program who are looking for a co-op placement starting Summer of 2026 (May – August) to gain valuable, hands-on work experience in the trade.

Information technology (IT) Student Co-Op (Summer 2026)

Lakeland Networks is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused IT Co-op Student to assist with internal technical support and desktop services. Reporting to the Director of Information Security and Technology, the Co-op Student will play a key role in supporting day-to-day IT operations, helping staff resolve hardware and software issues, and maintaining workstations and peripherals. This 4-month placement, running from May to August 2026, offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment where the successful candidate will gain exposure to real-world IT support practices and contribute to the smooth operation of internal systems.

Engineering Technician/Technologist Student Co-Op (Summer 2026)

Reporting to the Assets & Engineering Supervisor, this position will assist Engineering staff with distribution design, drafting, field inspections, customer service, record keeping, and various other duties. This co-op placement can be a 4- or 8-month placement planned to begin in the Summer of 2026.

Energy & Sustainability Student Co-Op (Summer 2026)

Reporting to the Director of Lakeland Solutions, we are seeking current students pursuing a program in the Renewable Energy industry or in a relevant discipline to join our team and assist with our newest project, Lakeland EV Charging, where we are developing an EV charging network across our territory. Additionally, the successful candidate would be required to assist with ongoing monitoring, operations and maintenance of our existing assets, including Solar and Battery Energy Storage systems. This co-op placement is planned to begin in the Summer of 2026 (May-August).
